Dikika girl provides new evidence that Lucy was an ape

Despite the evolutionary slant put on the find of Dikika girl by the popular media, this latest find instead provides strong evidence that Lucy and her kind were in fact apes and not some ancestor of human beings.

Dikika was presented to the general public by the media as one of our earliest known ancestor in terms of absolute certainty, once again abusing the language of science and undermining the integrity of palaeontology. This time the presentation was given with an emotional story about a human-like child being washed away in a flood to go with the usual Disneyfield artistic impressions of Lucy brought out of the archives for our consideration.
