They are trying their best to find transitional forms between people and apes.  They keep on finding more transitional forms, but one after another they have been refuted, almost always by evolutionists themselves.  The one “transitional form” that is still popularly believed to be still valid is Lucy or Australopithecine. So we will deal with her (actually they believe “she” may be a “he” now.  They do not have enough of her (or him) to find out for sure!)  Several investigators, including Richard Leakey, have now concluded that two or perhaps three species have been wrongly combined in "Lucy." She was not a human ancestor.  At best, she was a form of extinct ape; at worst, she was a mosaic, yet she is still touted as the best "evidence" for human evolution. Now there is molecular evidence that show Australopithecines are not human ancestors but chimp ancestors!  If you dressed Australopithecus afarensis (Lucy), and put her on the subway, everybody would get out and call the zoo!  Leakey even said in 1983 that no firm conclusion could be drawn about what species Lucy belonged to. Up until now, we have been told that the Australopithecines (best recognized by most people through the famous ‘Lucy’ specimen) were, without a doubt, man’s ancestor. For one thing, we are told over and over that they walked upright in the human manner.   This is despite the fact that careful anatomical analysis by specialists, themselves evolutionists, has shown that they walked distinctly differently from humans. And CAT scans of the skulls showing their organ-of-balance anatomy prove beyond doubt that they did NOT walk anything at all like humans. Lucy’s wrists have even revealed the ‘locking’ mechanism of knucklewalkers, totally overlooked until recently.   

    Despite all the evidence against there ever being transitional forms, evolutionists continue to look for and promote false transitional forms.  Even though Lucy has been refuted by some of the top evolutionists, including Richard Leakey, the school system and America still teach her as a transitional form.  They taught the Piltdown Man and Java Man for years after they were refuted by the vast majority of the evolutionists.  They will probably continue to erroneously teach Lucy for years to come.
